Terms of Service

Effective date: May 12, 2026

These terms govern your use of PrediBall, a football match prediction game where friends form groups, submit predictions for upcoming matches, and compete on a leaderboard. By creating an account or joining a group, you agree to these terms.

The service

PrediBall is a recreational prediction game. It is not a gambling, betting, or wagering service. Predictions earn in-app points only; no money or anything of monetary value is awarded by PrediBall. Any side wagers between members happen entirely outside PrediBall and are not endorsed or facilitated by us.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• One account per person. Don't impersonate someone else.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used to harm other users.

Acceptable use

While using PrediBall, do not:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, or hateful.
• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
• Attempt to access another user's account, scrape data at scale, reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with its operation.
• Use PrediBall to facilitate gambling, illegal payments, or any regulated financial activity.

Groups, roles, and content

• Owner. The user who creates a group is its owner. Owners can delete the group, regenerate invite codes, and promote or demote admins.
• Admins. Owners and admins manage the group's members, competitions, fixtures, and questions, and configure scoring and deadlines.
• Members. Anyone who has joined a group via its invite code (or, for the Global PrediBall League, via the opt-in join button).
• Your content. You retain ownership of content you post (predictions, question answers, feedback) and grant PrediBall a non-exclusive license to display it within your group as part of operating the service. We do not claim broader rights to your content.
• Group records. Predictions, leaderboard positions, and question answers are part of your group's competition history while you are a member. When you leave a group, those records are removed for you and the leaderboard is recomputed. See the privacy policy for details.

Predictions and scoring

PrediBall scores predictions against the official results of the underlying matches as reported by our data provider. Match data is provided "as is" — we cannot guarantee live scores, final scores, lineups, or other fixture details are free of errors or delays. If a fixture is later corrected, group admins can re-score the fixture, which may adjust leaderboard positions. Predictions are for fun only and earn no money or anything of monetary value from PrediBall.

Service availability

PrediBall is provided "as is" and "as available." We aim for reliability but cannot guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect existing users.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrediBall disclaims all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that fixture data, scoring, or leaderboard standings are accurate, complete, or fit for any external use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrediBall and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of PrediBall will not exceed CAD $50 or the amount you have paid PrediBall in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

Termination

You can stop using PrediBall at any time by leaving your groups and/or deleting your account from inside the app. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced inside the app and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of PrediBall after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
