Terms of Service

Effective date: October 1, 2026

These terms govern your use of PrediBall, a football match prediction game where friends form groups, submit predictions for upcoming matches, and compete on a leaderboard. PrediBall is operated by Canvas & Core Labs LLC, a California limited liability company ("we", "us"). By creating an account or joining a group, you agree to these terms.

The service

PrediBall is a recreational prediction game. It is not a gambling, betting, or wagering service. Playing is free: there is no entry fee, predictions earn in-app points only, and PrediBall never holds, transfers, or pays out money between users. The only payment PrediBall accepts is for PrediBall Plus, an optional subscription described below.

Some members may choose to organize their own pools, stakes, or side wagers among themselves. Any such arrangement happens entirely outside PrediBall, is private to the members involved, and is neither operated, endorsed, nor facilitated by us. These arrangements are undertaken solely at the participants' own risk, and each participant is responsible for ensuring their participation is lawful where they live. PrediBall has no involvement in, and accepts no responsibility for, any money or arrangements between members.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• One account per person. Don't impersonate someone else.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used to harm other users.

Acceptable use

While using PrediBall, do not:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, or hateful.
• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
• Attempt to access another user's account, scrape data at scale, reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with its operation.
• Use PrediBall to operate a gambling, betting, lottery, or money-collection service, to collect or solicit payments through the app, or to facilitate any activity that is illegal where you live.

Groups, roles, and content

• Owner. The user who creates a group is its owner. Owners can delete the group, regenerate invite codes, and promote or demote admins.
• Admins. Owners and admins manage the group's members, competitions, fixtures, and questions, and configure scoring and deadlines.
• Members. Anyone who has joined a group via its invite code (or, for the Global PrediBall League, via the opt-in join button).
• Your content. You retain ownership of content you post (predictions, question answers, feedback) and grant PrediBall a non-exclusive license to display it within your group as part of operating the service. We do not claim broader rights to your content.
• Group records. Predictions, leaderboard positions, and question answers are part of your group's competition history while you are a member. When you leave a group, those records are removed for you and the leaderboard is recomputed. See the privacy policy for details.

Content and moderation

You are responsible for the content you create, including group names, group descriptions, group notices, and your display name. We are not obligated to monitor content, but we may review, remove, restrict, or rename any content we reasonably believe violates these terms, is unlawful, or is harmful to other users — including content that solicits or advertises payments, pools, or wagers.

We use automated filtering that may block content at the time you submit it, or remove it shortly afterward, when it contains language we prohibit. You can also report content or users you believe violate these terms from within the app where available (the Report option on a group, a notice, or a member), or by contacting us at support@prediball.app; we review reports and act on them at our discretion. Acting on some content does not make us responsible for content we have not acted on.

Predictions and scoring

PrediBall scores predictions against the official results of the underlying matches as reported by our data provider. Match data is provided "as is" — we cannot guarantee live scores, final scores, lineups, or other fixture details are free of errors or delays. If a fixture is later corrected, group admins can re-score the fixture, which may adjust leaderboard positions. Predictions are for fun only and earn no money or anything of monetary value from PrediBall, except a prize we offer for a specific promotion under separately published official rules. Those rules govern that promotion.

PrediBall Plus (optional subscription)

• What it is. PrediBall Plus adds extra match analysis to the app. Playing is free without it: making predictions, creating or joining groups, and competing on leaderboards do not require Plus. Plus does not change how predictions are scored, where you rank, or whether you can win a prize.
• Where you buy it. You can subscribe in the iOS app (billed by Apple), in the Android app (billed by Google), or on the web, where the purchase is sold and processed by Link, a service of our payment partner Stripe. Each of these providers handles your payment under its own terms.
• Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. If an offer includes a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of the App Store, Google Play, or your Link account, depending on where you subscribed. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your PrediBall account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel it first.
• Refunds. Apple, Google, and Link decide refund requests for purchases made through them, under their own policies. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or withdrawal right you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
• Price changes. If we change the price, you will be told in advance, as the store you subscribed through requires, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
• Analysis is information, not advice. Plus content, including AI-generated match reports, is provided for information and entertainment. It can be wrong and is not advice of any kind. Its content may change as we improve it.
• If Plus ends. If we stop offering Plus, we will tell you in advance and stop future renewals.

Service availability

PrediBall is provided "as is" and "as available." We aim for reliability but cannot guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect existing users.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrediBall disclaims all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that fixture data, scoring, or leaderboard standings are accurate, complete, or fit for any external use.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Canvas & Core Labs LLC and its members are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of PrediBall will not exceed USD $50 or the amount you have paid for PrediBall in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.

Termination

You can stop using PrediBall at any time by leaving your groups and/or deleting your account from inside the app. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced inside the app and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of PrediBall after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, please contact us first at support@prediball.app and give us 30 days to try to put it right. Most problems can be solved this way.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Mateo County, California, although either of us may instead bring an individual claim in a small claims court that has jurisdiction. Nothing in this section takes away a right the consumer protection laws of the country you live in give you, including the right to rely on local law or to bring a claim in your local courts.
